The Fasting Shake has been scientifically formulated with similar ingredients to the Intermittent Fasting Bar®, which has been tested in pre-clinical and clinical trials at the Longevity Institute of the University of Southern California and in clinical trials at various hospitals and centers. In a randomized controlled study involving 105 adults, participants underwent a 15-hour overnight fast and were subsequently given either breakfast, a FastBar, or water. Hourly measurements of blood glucose and ketone levels were taken over a 4-hour period. The results demonstrated that FastBar had comparable effects on ketones and blood glucose levels when compared to a water-only fast, indicating that it does not disrupt the fasting state (1).
